May 2016 Online Income Report
Welcome to my May 2016 monthly income report!
Each month I will share a detailed report on how much income each of my online businesses has made. It doesn’t matter if its been a great month or a terrible month, ill put the details here in these reports.
This will not only hold me accountable and keep me motivated but hopefully it will also inspire others to take action towards their goals since im essentially starting from nothing. My reports may be small to start but hopefully that will change as I continue to grow as an online entrepreneur.
Lastly as a point of reference my online income from the first income report in January 2014 was $356.70 lets see how that changes moving forward.
Summary
May was an interesting month. I was able to reach 2 of my goals, email list and income, which is good but its also shown me how important it is to have more than 1 income stream. Several products that i expected to do well this month didn’t meet my expectations. I’m happy to say that the rise in my click bank income more than covered that. The reason i made so much with clickbank this month is because the last product i reviewed did extremely well in testing. Unfortunately it was a physical product and not digital so there was a limited supply and eventually that supply ran out. As it stands they have shut the doors to new members which means no more sales.
Clickbank was a large part of this months success in passing the 5k mark and i probably wont have that boost next month. I know there will be peaks and valleys so im not complaining, i just know i’ll have to work even harder to reach the level i want to be at. The more focus i put on reviewing membership products, anything that pays me residual income monthly like the oil well and i markets live, the more stable my income should become.
Something else worth mentioning is that i received my first kindle payment. They do things different than createspace. With kindle all the income i made from March is paid at the end of May. Basically i had to wait a lot longer to get that first payment. The good thing about my publishing income is that when i write 1 book i can publish it on multiple platforms. So far i’m only focused on kindle and createspace but the option is there to make all of my titles audio books in the future and add that income stream as well. If i can eventually get 50 books averaging $50 per month each i’ll be happy.
Last month I had 1,127 youtube subscribers and im currently at 1,193. The more people that are subscribed the more people will see my content and potentially click on my links. I’ve been researching different methods to get more subs but none that i’ve found so far are very targeted so ill continue searching. Adding the outro that reminds people to subscribe seems like my best option but i’ve been focused on other things lately so i havent had it made yet.
At the end of last month i had 1,703 email subs and now i have 2049. Last month i said i was going to focus on list building and thats exactly what i did. I’ve gotten a lot of emails from new people asking questions and i’ve already made a few sales so i know the quality of my new leads is high. Over the next few weeks i’ll continue to build trust by sending useful content and making sure i answer any questions quickly and thoroughly. Now that we’ve passed the 2k subs goal its on to the next one. 3K here we come. Hopefully i can hit 5k subs before the year is out. Time will tell.
Below you will see that i have now passed the $5,000 income goal. My next online income goal is $7,000 in one month. My next youtube subscriber goal is 2000 subscribers and my next email subscriber goal is 3000. The May numbers are below.
